Rosh Yeshiva – Rav Aryeh Stechler
Raised in Teaneck, Rav Stechler returned to the community four years ago with his wife Danya and five children. Rav Stechler received Semicha at Yeshivas Rabbeinu Yitzchok Elchanan (RIETS, YU) where he learned for 10 years, under the guidance of Rav Herschel Schachter, Rav Michael Rosensweig and Rav Chaim Packer. Past editor of the Beis Yitzchok, and a member of the Wexner Kollel Elyon, Rav Stechler published numerous Chidushei Torah on Seder Kodshim (Korbanos). He served as a community Rav for seven years. For the last eight years, he has taught Gemara and served as Mashgiach Ruchani to high school students at leading Yeshivas. Over 1000 of his students have completed full Masechtas under his tutelage. He was founder of SummerTorah.com, a summer learning program that offered extra learning to over 200 students in Bergen County. Rav Stechler founded the TTC weekend learning programs, currently known as TLN, which offers high school talmidim the opportunity to learn with Gedolei Yisroel. Rav Stechler served as Executive Vice President of the Rabbinical Council of Bergen County for three years.
Senior Ram, 9th Grade Rebbe – Rav Pesach Skulnick
Rav Skulnick learned in Ner Yisroel for 17 years and offered an afternoon Chaburah to advanced students. Hundreds of Ner Yisroel Talmidim consider Rav Skulnick their Rebbe muvhak. He also served as a Mesivta Rebbe at various Yeshivos in Baltimore. His past Menahel described him as a dynamic mechanech, “who inspired boys to go off to top Yeshivos and taught them a tremendous amount of skills and materials.” Rav Skulnick enjoys playing basketball ball with the boys. He has spent the last 11 summers at Camp Romimu, where he teaches the ninth grade shiur. He completed his undergraduate degree and CPA studies at the University of Maryland. He studied in Kerem BYavneh for two years. Rav Skulnick just completed Shas taking the Dirshu tests, which required the review of each Maseches countless times. Rav Skulnick’s warm and personable character coupled with his deep concern for the religious and emotional development of each Talmid, make him one of the most sought after Rabbeim in the country.
Senior Ram, 10th Grade Rebbe – Rav Dovid Komet
A close Talmid of Rav Meir Twersky Shlit”a, Rav Komet is known as one of the finest Talmeidei Chachamim to come out of the YU Beis Medrash. He also studied under the tutelage of HaRav Hershel Schachter, Shlit”a, Rosh Kollel, and in the Kollel Elyon. Rav Komet received a B.A. in Mathematics from Yeshiva College. He later became a Mashiv at the RJJ Yeshiva of Edison. Over the past two decades, Rav Komet developed a stellar reputation as first-rate Talmid Chacham and a Master Mechaneich. After many years as the tenth grade Rebbe and pre-Calculus and Calculus teacher at Moshe Aharon Yeshivs High School, Rav Komet was appointed Menahel of MAYHS for three years. For the last several years he has served as Segan Menahel of Shaarei Tzion in Piscataway, NJ. Rav Komet is respected for his sincere and warm personality, which enables him to form life-long relationships with his talmidim. Heichal is extremely blessed that Rav Komet decided to return to the classroom and serve as our tenth grade Rebbe and Honors Mathematics teacher. Rav Komet’s goal is to challenge the minds of his talmidim in both their Torah learning and Mathematical studies. His professional expertise as an administrator will be a valuable asset to everyone on the Heichal staff.
Night Seder Rebbe, Chumash – Rav Dovid Kram
Rav Kram was raised in Monsey, NY, and attended Yeshiva University High School for Boys. He learned in Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh for two years before transferring to Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, where he learned in Rav Yosef Elefant’s shiur. After returning to Monsey, Rav Kram joined the kollel at Yeshivas Ohr Reuven, and simultaneously served as the Av Bayis for the high school and bais medrash dormitory. He then became the Shoel Umaishiv for the Ohr Reuven Bais Medrash Program. He has been a RAM in Yeshivas Ohr Reuven for 3 years, teaching gemara B’Iyun to the 11th grade and Halacha to the 9th grade. Ravi Kram received yoreh yoreh semicha from Rav Betzalel Rudinsky. For the last several summers he has been a rebbe in Camp Avraham Chaim Heller. Rav Kram’s unique understanding of today’s teenagers enables him to connect to and mentor countless talmidim. Rav Kram’s relationships with his talmidim continue long past graduation. Students are drawn to his warmth and passion for yiddishkeit. Currently, Rav Kram is pursuing certification in Life Coaching through the Refuah Institute with a focus on teenage counseling. He enjoys playing basketball with his students. Rabbi Kram and his wife Lisa have three adorable children and reside in Wesley Hills, NY.
Morning Seder Rebbe – Rav Eli Hersh
Rav Eli Hersh went to Mesivta at the Telshe Alumni in Riverdale NY. He continued his learning at Telshe, Cleveland where he formed a very close bond to the Rosh Hayeshiva Harav Mordechai Gifter ZT”L. He maintains a very close relationship with Rav Elya Chaim Swerdloff, Shlita, in Paterson NJ. In Israel, Rav Hersh learned Kodshim in the famed Brisk Yeshiva under Harav Dovid Soloveitchik and Rav Tzvi Kaplan. For a decade Ravi Hersh served as a Rebbe in the Beis Medrash in Bridgeport, CT under the leadership of Ravi Simcha Bunim Berger. His special connection to his talmidim made Rav Hersh decide to found Camp Hamachane in 2007, which grew from 35 boys to over 200 boys from across the globe. He lives with his wife Liba and their 7 children in Spring Valley, NY.
Rav Moshe Tzvi Weinberg
Rav Moshe Tzvi spent many years in high school Chinuch, where he was considered one of the most dynamic and inspirational Rabbeim. He now serves as the Mashgiach of the Stone Beis Medrash Program at Yeshiva University and gives a daily Shiur to many Talmidim in the Yeshiva. His weekly Shalosh Seudos’s in Bergenfield NJ, are attended by almost 100 people who come to hear inspiring Divrei Torah. He is widely considered one of the most motivational young Mashgichim in the Tri-State area. Rav Moshe Tzvi volunteers his time at Heichal HaTorah each Thursday evening and Friday morning to speak with boys one-on-one and offer motivational Mussar and insightful ideas into the Sedra of the week.
